Founded in 2010, Central Galeria promotes expositions and furthers the debate around contemporary art. In 2012 it moved to a new, larger, and more versatile address, thus expanding the spread of current artistic production and enhancing exchanges and partnerships. In 2016 Central reformed its space and its program in order to establish a greater dialogue with the city and the public. In the same year along with Fonte (an atelier space and artist residence) they established a new project exclusively focused on video art, called “Vídeo de Hoje”. The new program and new dynamic of the space highlight the amalgamation and multiplicity of contemporary art, believing that the content and the proposal of dialogues in the gallery play a social role, and can transform and connect ideas and people around the world. Artists: Anna Israel, Bruno Cançado, C. L. Salvaro, Gabriela Mureb, Gisele Camargo, Mano Penalva, Ridyas e Rodrigo Martins.
